Craig Aunger

Craig has been involved in the cloud HR software industry since 1999.  He has a Bachelor of Accounting and Economics from the Flinders University of South Australia, and was awarded the University Prize for Corporate Finance in 1991.

Craig was the fifth employee of (an eRecruitment software vendor) where he remained for 4 years, the last 2 as General Manager.  Craig then joined RecruitASP (another eRecruitment software vendor) where he worked for less than 12 months.  During his time at these two vendors Craig became increasingly aware that clients were not achieving value from their investments in these systems.

Since starting Pinpoint HRM in late 2003 Craig has lead and been involved in HR technology consulting projects with some of Australia’s leading employers.  These projects include technology gap analyses, business process improvement, implementation planning, vendor selection and implementation project management.  This extensive hands on experience and deep knowledge of the industry gained over the past 10 years enables him to understand the specific needs of clients, anticipate the change management challenges, identify process re-engineering required and provide advice and planning for appropriate solutions.

Craig also spends a large proportion of his time consuming the latest industry analysis and press releases.  Combined with the experience of the Pinpoint HRM team from the many projects we have and are working on, he regularly presents at HR technology conferences and conducts workshops on topics such as the current and future state of HR technology and delivering return on investment with HR software systems.

Craig has an Accounting background.  Following 2 years in professional practice, from 1994 until 1999 he worked in a manufacturing business, where firstly he managed the accounting and finance function for the US division, and later was responsible for the Australian manufacturing operations.  This experience provides him with foundations to develop a professional and compelling business case.

When not attending to the needs of our clients, team or his rapidly growing sons (x3), you’ll find Craig on two wheels (mountain/dirt bike) or in/pining to be in the snow.
